Company History
Founded in 1976 by Frank Tenkate, Tenkate Plant Hire has grown from humble beginnings to become a leader in Australia's earthworks industry. It all started with a forward-thinking idea: utilizing the Volvo Articulated Dump Truck for bulk earthworks projects in the rapidly developing Kawana Waters area on the Sunshine Coast.
Over the last five decades, we have expanded to contribute to landmark projects like the Brisbane Airport, Sanctuary Cove, and numerous canal estates and golf courses. Our continued involvement in major projects like Coal Connect, the Nebo rail line construction, and the Surat Basin gas project exemplifies our commitment to industry-leading service and innovation.
